Throughout the academic session the students are encouraged to participate actively in various co-curricular and cultural activities. They are also expected to compete in the meets organized by the school and other institutions in order to develop their debating and elocution skills.
(a) GAMES AND SPORTS : The school has adequate sports facilities and vast playground for hockey, football, cricket, table-tennis, volley ball, boxing, badminton, kho-kho, kabaddi, gymnastics athletics, horse riding etc. The students are given proper training by renowned coaches in order to attain proficiency and compete at the District or State Level.
(b) CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES : Besides academic courses, the school provides co-curricular activities like debate, elocution contest, essay writing, dramatics, music, paintings, art & craft, S.U.P.W., photography, creative writing & quiz
(c) PHYSICAL & HEALTH EDUCATION : The school conducts regular classes, in Physical Training, Yoga, Gymnastics etc. to ensure sound health of all students. Periodic medical checkup of students is also conducted.
(d) FUNCTIONS AND CULTURAL PROGRAMMES : School’s annual concert, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti etc. are celebrated with cultural programmes and field activities organised according to the spirit and purpose of the occasion.
(e) SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY : Awareness and action oriented programmes (anti-drugs campaign, anti-pollution campaign, environment awareness etc.)
(f) OTHER ACTIVITIES : Picnic, outstation tour, science and electronics exhibition, school fate, seminar and workshop and various other Projects are orgranised in which participation is compulsory for all students.
(g) SCHOOL BULLETIN AND MAGAZINE : Besides one yearly magazine, school publishes its quarterly St. James Bulletin which provides opportunity for the students fo find an outlet for their creativity through articles, poems, drawings etc. These activities develop student’s creative power and imagination.
(h) SUMMER CAMP : To give a break, various summer camps are organised eg. art & craft, vocal, classical, light and Instrumental music, dance, Yoga, indoor & outdoor games, spoken and written English competition and various other activities. The students take part in big number with full zeal and enthusiasm.

Summer and winter timings are given in detailed Time-Table. Sports and games timings are 4.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m.
